Weston Conservation Commission issues two wetland buffer orders, continues third case
WESTON — March 3, 2026 — Weston Conservation Commission closes two buffer-zone cases and advances parking and farm license items. The five-member panel, chaired by Rees Tulloss, voted unanimously Tuesday to issue Orders of Conditions for 95 Sylvan Road — where contractor Fabio's Construction, Inc. cleared trees without a permit — and for a home addition and septic replacement at 145 Conant Road, while continuing the 23 Wellesley Street renovation hearing to March 31. On the Sylvan Road case, the commission declined to levy a fine but directed Conservation Administrator Jordan McCarron to include bylaw language warning the contractor that future violations "could result in fines to the maximum extent" allowed. The commission also unanimously approved the 2025 Deer Management Program report, which showed only 14 deer harvested on town land — down from 28 in 2024 — granted a three-year license extension through December 31, 2028 to Gateways Farm operator Julie Hyde, and voted to endorse the town's 2026 Open Space and Recreation Plan for submission to the state. McCarron separately briefed the panel on a forthcoming enforcement action at 12 Robin Road, where unpermitted grading and a retaining wall were found inside the buffer zone on a property with a pending sale.
