Weston Planning Board backs $300,000 Town Green tree planting, continues HYM review

WESTON — April 29, 2026 — Weston Planning Board unanimously backs $300,000 CPA request to plant 50 trees on the Town Green. The April 29 remote meeting saw Chair Leslie Glynn and members Alex Selvig, Timothy Shawn Lanier, Adrienne Giske, and Jing Yu vote 4-0 to support the Tree Advisory Group's Phase 1 rehabilitation application, which pegs per-tree costs at roughly $4,000 due to prevailing wage rules and state-approved contractors. The board also continued a 45-minute site data review by HYM Investment Group — represented by managing partners Tom O'Brien and Doug Manns — whose proposed Wellesley Street senior housing development showed no ledge in borings to 38 feet and clean environmental tests, but still faces board demands for balloon height tests, a revised design, and traffic counts while schools are in session, with the hearing continued to May 20. A unanimous vote also reissued a letter of support for Bob Parsekian's 17-unit affordable senior housing project at Manor on North, where state and federal historic tax credit applications are in process.
