Weston Select Board Passes Over Capital Stabilization Fund at Annual Town Meeting
WESTON — April 13, 2026 — Weston Select Board defers Capital Stabilization Fund article, pushing measure past May town meeting. Meeting in an unusual Friday morning session on April 10, the board voted to pass over the Capital Stabilization Fund article at the annual town meeting after Finance Committee members argued for its inclusion but board members said they needed more information and analysis before offering support. Town Manager Leon Gaumond, who recapped the meeting in a Weston Media Center video posted April 13, said the board will continue discussions with the Finance Committee over coming months, with a possible return of the article at a special or subsequent town meeting. Chair Lise N. Revers also secured board authorization for Gaumond to research a town-wide demographic study for future consideration. The board additionally trimmed the Traffic and Sidewalk Committee from six to five members, eliminating the possibility of tie votes.
